success story 01:
BoxClusterML implemented by Prof. Antony Jameson
On November 20th, 2007, the very first BoxClusterML has been installed at Prof. Antony Jameson from Stanford University Thomas V. Jones Professor of Engineering. This document introduces the story behind the first BoxClusterML implemented outside Japan.
Introduction of Prof. Antony Jameson
Prof. Antony Jameson has been published more than 300 scientific
papers (authored or co-authored) in a wide range of areas including aerodynamics
and control theory. He is the principal developer of the well know series
of “FLO” and “SYN” codes, which has been used throughout the aerospace industry.
After obtaining a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, he has received a number
of awards and in 2006, he received “The Elmer A. Sperry Award for 2006“ in
recognition of his seminal and continuing contributions to the modern design
of aircraft. This award has been given to the people such as Sr. Donald W.
Douglas (The founder of McDonnell-Douglas) and Dr. Ferdinand Porsche (The
founder of Porsche)
